Jonathan M. Sicora
Co-Owner / Performance Coach / Manual Therapist

Jonathan Sicora is a premier Strength Coach and has spent a lifetime dedicated to the science and art of strength and conditioning, blending a combination of technical talent and custom training routines to maximize his client’s athletic performance. He’s one of only a handful of trainers globally to reach the Poliquin Level 5 Master Strength Coach, a certification awarded jointly through the National Sport Governing Organization (NSGO) and International Olympic Committee (IOC) and reserved only for those coaches who have worked with an athlete that medals in the Olympic Games or World Championships for individual sports and/or coach an athlete who wins a distinguished award in the professional league (MVP, Norris (NHL), Cy Young (MLB)) for team sports.

Jonathan is a leading disciple of the Poliquin Group (PICP) training system and has since graduated to developing and training the next generation of global strength coaches through the educational program. The PICP method has been universally recognized as a pioneer in advanced strength and conditioning philosophies particularly focused on providing coaches and trainers with unsurpassed skills in teaching methodology, training techniques, assessments, and custom program design.

Since 2005, Jonathan has successfully trained a diverse set of clients with various strength and conditioning goals from weight loss to post rehabilitation and injury prevention. Most recently, his focus has been on sports performance for athletes from the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, Olympics, and World Championships, in addition to aspiring amateur athletes from the high school and collegiate levels. Through his unique scientific approach to strength and conditioning, tailoring each program to the individual player, Jonathan’s systems have helped his athletes reach maximum physical output while minimizing the likelihood of injury. The programs include expertise in short and long term program design, sports performance training, athletic development, speed and agility, energy system training, body composition training, fat loss, injury prevention, post rehabilitation, gymnastics, mobility, movement, and nutrition.

Born in Minnesota and grew up in Chicago, Jonathan Co-Founded SPEAR Training INC in 2015. Prior to that, he was an active multi-sport athlete winning an IHSA State Championship in gymnastics while also competing in hockey, football and wrestling.

Jonathan received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Fitness at Western Illinois University in 2007 and continues to invest considerable time expanding his knowledge in the world of strength training by participating in seminars and internships hosted by the world’s top strength coaches and educators.
